Three events for the community so far this Summer:
1) Clothing Exchange -- -- Saturday, June 5th (Noon-5pm) -- a successful event with hundreds in attendance. Watch for a back-to-school event! For more information see www.theclothingexchange.com.
2) MidSummer Arts Festival -- Sunday, June 27th This annual event begins at 4:00pm with an art display by local Lakewood artists, musical selections (instruments and voice) from various performers, a German folksong sing-along, German-language Vespers service (6:00pm), and a Party (7:00pm)!
3) "How Great Thou Art" -- All day VBS/Church Day Camp July 26-30 Church Day Camp combines Briarwood Camp’s outdoor ministry program team and the local resources of First United Lutheran Church’s congregation for a weeklong session of Christian fellowship and fun for ages 4 - 10, including Bible encounters, arts and crafts, games, music and singing, puppets, skits, and more. Each child receives a camp T-shirt and a drinking cup. The day begins at 8:30am and the program concludes at approximately 4:30pm, but care and quiet activities will be provided until pick-up by 5:30pm.
